Current approaches to offer tailored passenger experience rely on mobile apps, which are downloaded by 3% of airport users at best. PAX Cloud integrates with passive Internet of Thing (IoT) systems deployed at the airports to ensure tracking of 100% of the passengers.
Airports have become impersonal spaces where the passenger’s scarce attention span is overloaded by irrelevant content. With PAX Cloud, you can make a better use of airport signage and make passengers feel special using dynamic displays providing the right content, to the right person, at the right moment.
Traditionally, the effectiveness of content provision and ad campaigns is measured through cumbersome surveys. PAX Cloud closes the feedback loop with the audience and measures the reaction of passengers through revolutionary AI techniques. This way, airport facility and retail managers can quantify the quality of the content provided in a cost-effective manner.
You know your passengers’ behaviors, but there is no need to know who they are. PAX Cloud respects privacy by assigning anonymous Passenger IDs to individual data objets, and does not handle any personal information. Processed data remains in the local airport environment to avoid end-to-end journey tracking.

PAX Cloud is a comprehensive passenger profiling and segmentation solution enabling traveler content delivery services for the aviation industry
In the current context of high volume/low unit revenue, aviation market trends are shifting towards reducing the cost and increasing the revenue opportunities per passenger using the airport facilities. This requires better information on passenger location, intent and expectations to be able to provide them with the services they need, when they need them.
PAX Cloud merges passenger tracking data from a variety of existing airport IT systems (counting sensors, CCTV, smartphone tracking) and boarding pass scanning events. Tracking data is then deconflicted to create unique passenger IDs correlated to flight data. In parallel, PAX Cloud consumes flight operations data from authoritative aeronautical data platforms.
An AI agent profiles individual and groups of passengers according to observed movement patterns and relation to their flight and creates a categorization and prediction model. The model quality is constantly improved through user reaction monitoring, Machine Learning algorithms and statistical processing.
As output, PAX Cloud uses standard data interfaces to provide users and systems with a dynamic picture of current and future status of profiled passengers in the terminal while respecting anonymity. Profiles are defined according to multiple dimensions (movement pattern, grouping, relation to flight events, and consumer segmentation). Profiling and prediction intelligence triggers automated dynamic content to displays according to current viewer profiles, and provide dashboard information for airport and airline managers. PAX Cloud then measures the audience reaction and provides content success results, closing the feedback loop to facilitate effective, measurable content management.
Provided as a B2B service, PAX Cloud supports the business processes of the aviation industry to generate new ancillary revenue based on personalized content offerings for travelers. Its novel approach leverages IoT systems to generate high value operational and commercial information in real time without the need of a passenger mobile application while simultaneously respecting traveler privacy.
