Air Traffic Management System design and development has entered an era of new technologies, new connectivity methods and new architectures. Multiple security regulation authorities in the EU are voicing concerns regarding the rising vulnerabilities and risks of unauthorised interactions in the so called “Internet of Things” approach.

Skymantics Europe is a member of EUROCAE WG-72 with the objective of defining a common security certification process that can be applied to operational ATM systems in the European airspace. This will greatly reduce certification costs, regulatory holes and vulnerability breaches for the treatment of ATM data through its lifecycle.

The team will deliver ED-205 documentation in 2018.
